BALEARIC ISLANDS
The Balearic Islands are an archipelago located in the western Mediterranean Sea, near the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. The archipelago consists of four main islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera) and several smaller islands and islets. The Balearic Islands are an autonomous community of Spain and are known for their sunny climate, beautiful beaches, and vibrant nightlife.
Yachting
The Balearic Islands are a popular tourist destination with a variety of resorts, hotels, and restaurants. Menorca is known for its quiet, laid-back atmosphere, while Ibiza is famous for its nightlife and beach parties. Formentera is the smallest and least developed of the main islands and is known for its secluded beaches and crystal-clear waters. The Balearic Islands can be reached by air or ferry from the Spanish mainland and from other major cities in Europe.
Weather
The Balearic Islands receive very little rainfall, especially during the summer months. The islands are located in the Mediterranean Sea, which means that they are protected from the cooler, wetter weather systems that affect the mainland. This makes the Balearic Islands a popular year-round holiday destination. The weather in the Balearic Islands is generally warm and dry, with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature in the summer months (June to September) is around 26-27°C (79-81°F), with highs often reaching 30°C (86°F) or higher.
